Personal family journey
Lisa is the director of The Treehouse, Geelong. She has a wealth of knowledge about Autism Spectrum Disorder. She also has much experience interacting with schools, therapy groups, the NDIS and other therapy providers in the Geelong region.
Lindy has been with Treehouse since 2008 and for the past 18 months she has been a Facilitator with the Young Adults. With her son now in his 20s, Lindy reflects on her journey from a parent’s perspective.
Chloe is an inspiring 19 year old who’s ambition is to reach out, encourage and help young people on the Autism Spectrum, and share stories of inspiration and encouragement with their families. Chloe dresses up as fairy-tale characters for events, sings, dances, tells stories and teaches children about what it means to be a true princess:
‘to have courage and be kind’.
Sarah is a mum of four kids , two with ASD including one girl who’s 19 and one boy who’s 12. Sarah’s so passionate about ASD she switched from a career in nursing and midwifery to a social work degree where she’s hoping to specialise in ASD . She also worked in television and presenting for many years and loves speaking about her journey.
